Universities 4.0: Reinventing Higher Education for the 4th Industrial Revolution
The global economy is entering the 4th industrial revolution – an era shaped by revolutions in areas such as artificial intelligence and data, robotics, and biotechnology. There is emerging consensus that this new era will call for inventing the 4th generation of the university – “University 4.0” – to develop what Joseph E. Aoun calls a “robot-proof” human workforce, and to ensure global competitiveness and prosperity.
Sharing with the group a draft about “Universities 4.0” that my colleague Sean Gallagher and I are noodling with. Look forward to fleshing out the nexus between new models of the university, experiential learning, and pre-college learning!
